"Das Zimmer war angenehm groß und das Frühstück sehr lecker, mit einer wirklich guten und vielfältigen Auswahl. Leider ist das Hotel insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Man hat den Eindruck, dass seit mehreren Jahrzehnten kaum etwas renoviert oder modernisiert wurde. Besonders negativ aufgefallen sind uns die sehr schmutzigen Fenster, sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Frühstücksraum. Im Frühstücksraum hingen außerdem deutlich sichtbare Spinnweben an der Decke. "Rooms are great size and very clean"

"The pub is charming but very, very loud and our room opened out to the courtyard. The room was very hot because it faced the sun and the day was bright, so we needed to open the window and then had a lot of pub noise. The en suite bath was tiny but operational. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly and helpful and despite a busy evening, they managed to seat us so we could eat. The food as good too both for dinner and breakfast."

"This is a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our 2-night stay but would not likely return due issues with the room. The main areas are stunning. The drawing room offers a quite space to relax, with drinks and snacks provided. The breakfast, in the sunlit conservatory, is absolutely gourmet. The staff are friendly and helpful, provided a map and made great suggestions on where to eat (including a free drink at The Cow). "This is a hidden gem that should be rated as a 5 star. The rooms were excellent, modern and luxurious. The furnishings in the room were exquisite. The bar area was excellent and the roof top area was beautiful, with excellent breakfast. Also, the location was very good; a short walk to Merrion Square and Trinity College. The only thing missing are proper parking options."

"This is a nice hotel in a nice area. The good choice of restaurants on the street are a plus. The rooms are clean and well presented, although the view was of the carpark and there are some maintenance issues like the slow draining sink which needs looking into. The reception staff were pleasant but didn’t give us any further information other than our room number. A huge disappointment though is how housekeeping do not stand by the hotels eco friendly practices - towels which are left hanging...
