"Having lived in Rothesay for a few years in the sixties I was familiar with the Glenburn but never stayed there. It is indeed a grand building with great sea views but showing its age in a few areas. It was built in the early 1800s so that's not surprising. Parking can be a bit restrictive as the property was constructed in the days of horse and carriage. Staff were courteous and the lounge area with the bar is very comfortable and spacious. I will definitely stay there again. Very reasonable...

"we were only there for a short period of time roughly 13 hours, but we were able to enjoy the property. We had a lovely walk around the island. Very interesting architecture. my room was quiet and comfortable with a wonderful shower, with a lovely view of the water. While we did not have time to have dinner there, a number of people were and we didn’t hear any noise from the dining room or any of the other guest. So truly a lovely experience and I wish we’d had more time to enjoy more of it."
