"Two nights touring with friends to explore part of the area. Worked well as a centre and the chalet rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Meals were good and all the staff were helpful and both efficient and friendly"

"The hotel is incredible! We were greeted at the front desk by friendly staff who were very helpful in storing our luggage until our check in time and pointing the way to the bus station so we could explore Hadrian’s Wall that morning. Upon our return we were greeted by more friendly staff and directed to our room. When we opened the door our reaction was “Wow! What a great place!” The rooms were spacious and decorated beautifully. Tea, crumpets, local jam, and other accompaniments were laid out...

Janice cooks a mean omelette for breakfast and enjoyed my packed lunch. Lovely estuary walking and lots of nature reserves in the area. Would stay again if in the area."

"We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"
