The dinner we ordered was excellent and to order the best meal we had on our trip so far. Everything was locally sourced and made by Kayce herself. She was literally just a text message away. "Very nice property, with a seemingly recently refurbished reception, lobby, and restaurant area. The staff at the front desk, as well as in the restaurant, were impeccable, courteous, friendly, and highly accommodating. Payment was, however, a bit complicated, as you could not pay at the table and instead had to walk to the bar or reception. The POS terminal was also experiencing connectivity issues. Luckily, we had some cash on us. The view of the harbour and the sea is truly beautiful....

"The hotel closed all food and beverage service. There was a notice on their website but no notice on Expedia. The surrounding town was largely closed too, so being without food options was not acceptable. The hotel emailed to confirm my reservation. I complained and asked for a cancellation and refund. They never answered. As the cost was prepaid, I guess I will not get my money back. Ultimately we booked into a hotel in Kirkwall. This was a shockingly bad experience. I would urge everyone...
