Great little spot in the area! Historical charm, welcoming vibe and community. You'll pretty much have everything you need at a hotel, just packaged in a cutesy, cottagey format. Lots of cool art and things to see.

Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The owners were helpful and gave clear directions. Parking was great, close to the house and away from the road. Breakfast was good, and well stocked. We did not get to meet any staff during our stay but did run into a couple of pleasant fellow travelers.

Overall the charm of this Victorian renovated home was lovely. It is a bit faded in its grandeur and could use a good scrub the baseboards and new coat of paint here and there. Because there is no one resident on the property, we could not ask for things that might have made our stay more comfortable. It’s a lovely home with comfortable beds and amenities as listed but without the extra personal attention of the usual B&B. I recommend it if you take this into account.

Ours was a booking 24 hours earlier and there was a communication problem between Expedia and the host. However, with texts and phone calls, Jodie was able to accommodate us in an apartment, which was spacious and tidy. The helpful local contact person came over with additional towels and info. Written instructions and other information were available (except for the TV--we could not locate access to local live stations). The location (in the middle of historic Elmira) provided easy access to Elora and St. Jacob's. The Inn is in a historic house (with various uses since 1872), updated with bathrooms and amenities for a good overnight stay. Some rooms, including ours, are up one flight of stairs. Parking available on the premises. Shared areas and amenities seemed pleasant and adequately clean and accessible. This was a good value for stays in autumn in this area.

Bristow Inn was a great place to stay for a short weekend road trip. It was close to the places we were visiting: Elora, Fergus, and Kitchener. It was a charming house and our room was clean and comfortable.

Very interesting concept for a B&B, there is no contact with the owner yet everything is extremely well communicated and provided for your use and comfort. The owner does live on site and just a text away. It was quaint, clean, comfortable and quiet all you need for a little get away.

Fantastic B&B! Lovely Victorian home, very tall ceilings on both floors, nicely decorated throughout. Chatted with the owner by text as she was away while we were there. Very friendly and focused on customer service being met. I also met her daughter briefly as well as she was helping another guestnfind their room and door code. Access into the B&B plus your specific room both are by numbered keepads on the door lock. Breakfast is self serve continental with plenty to choose from including light, medium and dark roast Keurig coffee pods plus instant coffee, tea, an electric kettle and a drip coffee maker in your room if you prefer. Various muffins, bagels, bread for toast, cereals, yogurts, local jams, peanut butter, blueberries, cream cheese bananas etc.! We felt very welcome here even with the owner being away at the time. The bedroom with in suite bathroom is perfect and the bed was very comfortable! We will certainly return here when getting away to the Kitchener Waterloo area again. Elmira is really the perfect spot for the things we like to do and visit in this area.., and The Bristows B&B a great spot to stay!

The Bristow Inn is a unique accommodation. I loved that it was central to many of the amenities in Elmira, especially the Woolwich Memorial Centre.

We really enjoyed our week at the Bristow Inn. Comfortable and cozy accommodations. We love being able to relax and read or play games in the common areas when we were not off exploring. Will definitely book again.

Beautiful historical building with nicely decorated rooms and comfortable furnishings. The room had a basket of things you might have forgotten (razor, toothbrush etc) and complimentary sparkling and still water as well as coffee and tea. Continental self-serve breakfast had plenty of options, although not fancy. Store bought baked goods were a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to have those items fresh from a local bakery. We only saw the housekeeper - no other staff was seen during our two days. She was certainly friendly and obviously does a thorough job as everything was spotless.
