construction and unmarked in/out/parking garage/etc. was frustrating. I asked the Breakfast room service worker to please leave the food tray in the hall because my hands were full. They kept knocking and saying excuse me. I kept saying to please leave it because I can't come to the door. They knocked and said 'excuse me' for 5min before leaving. When I went to get our tray from the hall, I found the person had taken the food with them. I had to call down and they resent it. However, it was frustrating and made us late. The bar server messed up my (very simple) drink order and it took 12min to make the wrong drink. The Bartender complained to his colleague that he was disappointed another cocktail order was taken because he was hoping they'd be done - it was 930pm on Friday evening, closing was at 11pm. No cutlery with The takeout food from the restaurant. In the room, the bathroom door had feces smeared on it. The light switches and high-touch surfaces were clearly dirty. The T.V. in the room was not connected to the internet, and when the man came to fix it, he said that I had connected it wrong - this is an example of the poor command of the English language among the hotel staff - he must have been trying to say that it wasn't connected correctly as opposed to saying that I had done something wrong to create the problem. There was a sustained high pitched beeping for 25min in the middle of the night that woke us up.
