"We stayed in two different rooms as we added a night last minute. The decor was fun; the bathrooms were exquisite; the space spacious. Breakfast was delightful and tasty. Happy hour was a nice touch and allowed us to meet other guests. The front porch had the most spectacular view of the town and water and was enjoyable to hang out on.The hostesses were gracious, helped with reservations, luggage and parking the car. A delightful stay."

Only complaint is the hotel is currently undergoing major works with construction running during our stay between 7-6pm which was not disclosed when booking. We are quite an easy going couple so wasn’t a big turn off for us but I can imagine for some this would be very problematic and some of the works meant needing to access an alternative entrance up a steep hill. "This place is weird. Problem 1: no parking or even a simple place to unload. You have to lug suitcases up a dirt path from an adjacent parking lot where you can’t park during the day without paying $6:50 an hour so if you do the all day bus tour to Milford Sound you would need to pay over $50 but since you leave very early in the morning the meter system can’t work.
