"The chalet had charm. The one complain I have is that they messed up my reservations. i had booked two rooms and I called to confirm the day off and they told me that i only had one room. I showed them my credit card charges that showed two rooms were charged for. I had to scramble to find another hotel and ended up costing me close to $400 for the night and turned out it was a lousy hotel. It was rated 5 out of 10 but in the rush to get the room i totally missed the ratings. The Chalet front desk later told me that they found the other room i had booked. Too late since i already had booked another room."

"While doing a search for motels on L.I., I found that prices had doubled and tripled from when I stayed at another location this past March but I found this gem for the price that other hotels were charging months ago and investigating further, found a majority of very positive reviews. If you need a negative, it would be the tight parking between the buildings but other than that, I would stay there again."

"Convenient if you need to be in Huntington area. Nice for a low budget hotel, adequate room but ask for top floor bc we were on 3rd floor and heard footsteps. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Doesn’t have central air so unit in room. Very basic bathroom, ladies bring a makeup mirror. Short walk to town of Huntington, great restaurants, shopping, parks, and near many fun Long Island towns. Will stay again when visiting family."
