"Lovely and very clean hotel! The staff were extremely respectful and courteous throughout our stay. We appreciated the breakfast options — both the French set menu and the buffet were excellent. My family also loved the convenient location, close to Kyoto Station, shopping malls, and popular tourist attractions. "Our stay at the GrandWest Arashiyama was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, reception was incredibly helpful, and the location was quiet and idyllic. During our stay we made the most of the amenities including free refreshments, a washing/drying machine, and a cute cafe situated just downstairs from the hotel entrance. Our stay here was easily one of the best parts of our trip to Japan and I highly encourage those visiting Arashiyama to consider this hotel!"

"The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient."

"This hotel was amazing. It was clean and modern. The restaurant was great as were the staff. Couple things to be aware of. Lots of kids which isn’t a bad thing but noise travels really easily in the hotel. You can hear everything. The second is the proximity to the train. While it appears close to the Kyoto station it can be a pain as the station closest is a local station and doesn’t come very frequently. All that said I’d still stay here "
