There was free sake tasting everyday at 5pm. It was 10 minute walk from the train station (not as close as Expedia made it sound, but not a bad walk either). I would stay here again, but just will go in with different expectations than what I had based on the reviews. Overall the staff was very nice and accommodating."

"Great location right next to the train station and easy to access train, and local tram and buses. 30 mins walking dustance to the Zenkoji temple or a quick bus ride. The hotel is a big one and the staff was very helpful to our requests. There are lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel."
