"Dad and son traveling from the US. This hotel is well represented by the online photos. Staff was helpful. Place was very clean. I enjoyed the public baths and hot tub. Very quiet. Traditional breakfast was fun and tasty."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Kyoto. The property was exceptionally clean and very well maintained, and everything felt modern and comfortable. The staff truly stood out throughout our visit — everyone was extremely polite, professional, and genuinely helpful with recommendations, directions, and any requests we had. The location was also very convenient for exploring Kyoto’s main attractions, with easy access to temples, shopping areas, restaurants, and public transportation....

"Situated in a beautiful and quieter part of Kyoto but well connected to the main sites, bus stop nearby and subways within reasonable walking distance. Rooms was super spacious and staff were very friendly and helpful throughout! We had the breakfast everyday via room service which was very good and overall just really enjoyed our stay here, would stay again!"

"Super location and quiet room with real Japanese style bed on floor. Practical for trips into town or further since bus stops are right beside the building. Locally within walking distance there are ramen restaurants also temples and the Philosophers path. Suited me perfectly as I don't spend much time in hotel I like to be out taking photos. If I visit Kyoto again I would love to stay here again."

"A-un was small but cozy, hidden in a local alley. This location was so close to so many shopping areas. Me and my friends arrived 30 minutes early and was so burnt out from the long train ride and customer service were so fast with their response, they let us come in early thank goodness. We only stayed for one night but it was one of the best hotel experience we’ve ever had."

"Great location! You can easily walk to many key attractions of Kyoto and there is a metro station a few steps away from the hotel to get to further destinations. Would stay here again"

"Op het eerste gezicht een prima en ruime kamer. Echter zijn de bedden echt heel hard! Hierdoor hebben we de 5 nachten dat we hier verbleven niet goed geslapen. Daarnaast was het ook nog heel erg warm in de kamer. De airco hangt alleen recht boven het bed, wat het ook niet comfortabel maakt om daaronder te slapen. Wij hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt. Wel kon je (buiten de ontbijttijden om) gebruik maken van de koffie en frisdrank machine."
