"Mustard Hotel Shimokitazawa was a fantastic home base for our first few nights in Tokyo. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and the location is great for those looking to be away from the crowds — Shimokitazawa is a great neighborhood that can at time be busy during the day but gets quiet in the evenings and overnight. "今回東京滞在2件目のホテルで、着いたらすぐ洗濯をしたかったのですが、疲れ果てて辿り着いてから、洗濯洗剤を買うの忘れた！と慌てたのですが、洗濯機の上に一つ洗剤を置いてくださっているのを見て細やかなお気遣いを感じました。オーナーさんはメールの返信も早く丁寧でとても安心しました。普段のホテルより広々としていてくつろげました。全身が映る鏡が一つあると嬉しいなーと思いました！"

"Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights. We loved EVERYTHING about the hotel. Location was perfect once we learned to navigate the bridge through Sakura stage to Shibuya Station. We were on the 28th floor and the views were amazing! We also had lounge access and we visited everyday for their snacks and drinks! I would definitely stay again! The staff was so helpful and polite, the rooms had ample space, and the decor in each room was beautiful!"

"The location of the building is absolutely perfect. You are within a 5 minute walk of the busy commercial area, but it is relatively quiet just up the street. There are restaurants and stores lining the street, and you'll wish you had time to visit them all. The room was very clean with a nice layout. "The hotel is not in walking distance to anything. There were trains and subways within a 5 minute walk but you need to take mass transit options or a taxi to anything in Shibuya, Shinjuku or any where in Tokyo. There are restaurants nearby that you can walk to. The hotel itself is dated and the common areas were musty smelling and the carpets were badly stained. The room however very clean. The staff did a nice job in their efforts to make us happy and comfortable"

"We booked with 3 people to a room and had 2 beds under a bunk bed. Room was clean and cute. The beds were hard for me, but my husband liked it. The bathroom was small. Had a toilet and a shower in it. The sink was outside the bathroom, close to the beds. The hotel location was great and Miyashita Park was the place to be (tons of people hanging out and doing TickTock videos). Traffic outside was a little loud, but earplugs are available and our room had a fan that could block out the noise....
