"I was disappointed in this hotel and I’m confused about the high ratings. It’s certainly not 4 stars. The photos are misleading. There were no lamps in the room. No individual toiletries as indicated in the photos. Unstocked bar fridge. Dirty shag rug. Uncomfortable bed. Dated TV with no instructions for use (it’s possible to remove the dubbed audio from some channels but it’s difficult to figure out how to do this). "Perfect location for exploring Florence. 1mile from the train station (20 min walk). Overlooking the river. Clean. Staff friendly. Good selection of food at breakfast. A lovely terrace to sit on and watch the world go by. Free tea/coffee/water provided throughout the day. Would definitely recommend others to stay at the Hotel Silla! "

"The room was impeccably clean, to quote my wife, who owns her own cleaning company and is incredibly fussy. So very high praise indeed. The hotel is very well located within 10 to 20 minutes walk of most major sites in Florence. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good supplying everything except eggs and reasonably priced at €8.00. We have vowed to return to Florence one day and that includes this delightful hotel. "
