This family own hotels is nice spend a couple of nights. 5 minutes from down town. Daily room cleaning and breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Safe parking too.

The staff was pleasant and breakfast was good but in my opinion this should not be labeled as a hotel because it is deceiving. Rather it is a motel or guest house. The room had zero essential amenities as skin lotion and bathing soap or shower gel which is usually supplied once named under a “hotel”. I saw an unlabeled container in the bathroom which I was told is used as both shampoo and bathing soap. On my first out of 4 days I only received 2 small soap bars which was done by day 2. Although the room was cleaned every day, they never saw the need to replenish the bar soap. I had to text and ask whether the soap was given as complementary gift since there is nothing to wash my hands with after using the bathroom. Only to be told that if I need bar soap I can come to reception area. The walls are very thin which makes sleeping difficult if you are in a new environment. The window in the bathroom needs to be cleaned as it is rusty. Ventilation in the room is extremely poor and although I left the air conditioner on after leaving for the day on tours, I came back to an unventilated room. I felt very unsafe as a female solo travel on the first night and the place is a bit secluded. The reception area is closed at nights with a middle / elderly security whom in my opinion will not be able to defend in the event of a break in. I tolerated until my last day only because this was the meeting place for all my booked tours. I would not recommend this stay to anyone despite the price.

The staff at Hotel Colores were exceptional. This is a family owned operation and you can tell they care about the people staying there. From the check-in to the breakfast and even helping us find the sloth family that were visiting the property during our stay. I have to say this place is a hidden gem. Our room was on the smaller side. The beds were not like the ones at home. But I would stay here again in a heartbeat because the owners and staff care about your stay. And that for me is worth more than a lot of other things. Make your reservation today. You won’t be disappointed.

WOW! We are staying 4 nights and so lucky to have chosen this hotel. The setting is fantastic, lovely and so relaxing especially the gardens, river, pond with ducks and the refreshing covered outdoor pool. Staff Marinela & Elena are very kind, helpful and efficient. Our room is spacious but minimal storage space. Lots of free parking and safe. Delicious outdoor breakfast by Karina and Cristina. A short drive to the town center. Highly recommended!

Had to change rooms because very small mattress which was uncomfortable. Swimming pool was communal and had to book a time to use. Loved the little river running through the property.

Beautiful landscape, lots of wildlife (monkeys & iguanas), annd air conditioned rooms. Felt like a little resort. Having a refrigerator in the room was nice. The room was really small but we weren’t there so it’s ok. There was no hot water in the shower. The family who owns it was REALLY nice and friendly. Free breakfast outside by a little creek was really beautiful. I would stay there again!

Saubere zweckmäßige Zimmer. Frühstück auf Bestellung in einer sehr schönen Parkanlage. Fortuna ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Hier großes Restaurantangebot. Schwimmhalle mit 25 m Becken. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen

An oasis in La Fortuna

Ten minutes walk outside La fortuna centre this hotel is an oasis. The grounds are beautiful and full of bird life, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. Would definitely recommend!

Bel endroit pour se reposer & planifier la journée

Personnel très serviable et très bon petit déjeuner. Très bons pour nous fournir aussi des informations et réserver les différentes activités! Personnel parlant très bien anglais en apprenant le français. Il y a même des colibris qui viennent nous dire bonjour au petit déjeuner!

We only stayed at Hotel Colores del Arenal for one night but we had a wonderful time! The rooms were clean, staff were friendly, and they have the best Costa Rican breakfast! Would stay again if ever back in Costa Rica!

We loved staying here. The room and bathroom is spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. We love the outdoor space surrounding the area. Access to the pool was also a bonus. Breakfast was great. Perfect for families with young children. Has all the comfort but also still feel close to nature/outdoor.

Hotel sencillo, económico y ecofriendly.

Llegué de noche, estaba todo obscuro. La habitación sencilla. No se apreciaba tan bien como en las fotos. Al día siguiente fué muy diferente. Muy amables, buen servicio, el hotel rodeado de mucha vegetación, lago, patos. La anfitriona muy amable y servicial
