It's nice and clean, walkable distance to the restaurants. We were lucky to see a sloth climbing a tree just behind the gate while having a breakfast )

Great place in the heart of LaFortuna. This is my 4th trip to the area, 1st time saying at Secreto. No need to pay the overpriced hotel rates outside of town. Buy a day pass to the hot springs if needed but stay at Secreto. You feel like you're in the country but can walk to anything downtown. They had 3 sloths on the property, saw a Toucan and lots of other birds at their beautiful garden. No need for an expensive tour. They were close to the ground and you could see them anytime you wanted without binoculars. It was great! If you are looking to maximize your Costa Rica experience save the $ book here. Get the feel for an amazing town.

This lovely little boutique hotel is in a gorgeous setting tucked away at the end of a street in a residential area of La Fortuna, but an easy walk to all the restaurants and shops in the busy town. The beautiful tropical gardens were such a treat to just enjoy while sitting on the patio looking out at the volcano mountain. The swimming pool was greatly appreciated on those hot days. We saw more wildlife while at the hotel than on some of our paid adventures --- Saw a sloth in the parking lot tree the entire time we were there. Also saw many varieties of birds, including the yellow-throated toucans. The flowers and trees were so beautiful. Congrats to the grounds keepers. Breakfasts were delicious and the serving staff as well as the front desk staff were so polite and helpful. Highly recommend a stay at Secreto when you are in La Fortuna. It truly is a well-kept "Secret" spot.

This hotel is a gem! The room was spacious and clean. Loved the tropical garden surroundings; plenty of bird species, some toucans, sloths, anteaters, all visible in the surrounding trees! Just marvellous! The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And it was just slightly off the beaten path so not in the downtown hubbub, but very walkable to everything. Highly recommend this hotel!

Rooms were very clean and the property is beautifully landscaped. Breakfast is included and was enough to get your day started ! Great coffee and fresh fruit were much appreciated. Hotel close to many attractions, shopping and restaurants. Staff , especially Alfred were extremely friendly and helpful !

We loved our stay in La Fortuna! The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. The pools were great to escape the mid-day heat and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and convenient. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

We stayed two nights at Hotel Secreto. It’s a cute hotel right in the heart of La Fortuna. The rooms are small, but the view and local breakfast make up for it. Uriel, who works reception was super friendly—he made sure to point out the sloth that hangs out on the property to guests with a flash light at night. He also was full of ideas for local activities for us to schedule. Uriel made our stay perfect!

This was a great stay, and the front desk was super helpful. Room was clean I would 1000% recommend staying here. Front desk lady helped with transportation packages, activities, anything that we needed really she was on it. Bonus made to order breakfast was the best.

Very nice property to stay at while visiting La Fortuna. The pool is really nice and the free breakfast is awesome! The staff were very nice and everything so clean. It is easy walking distance to many restaurants. The only downside was the shower hot water was just luke warm. Although we kept forgetting to tell the staff, so that one is on us.

Really pleasant stay! Centrally located, kind staff, and lovely room. My kids loved the little pool and the surrounding gardens. We saw 2 slots and an anteater on the hotel ground during our one night stay!

Nice and clean room, Bed is comfortable, Receptionist helped book our shuttle service which is excellent. Breakfast is tasty, location is very convenient. We love to come back again.

Hotel was nice, however room floors were super super slippery, any water and you could slide and seriously hurt yourself. If you’re staying on the bottom level, you can hear the people walking upstairs. Overall good stay.
