"Pros : great location, delicious breakfast, beautiful grounds with plantations. Cons cabins have no insulation , therefore you can hear everything from the outside. Earplugs is must to have for better sleep. "

"The worst place we have ever been. The room was dirty, there were water leaks, cracked walls and floors, broken windows, rusty faucets. It rained the whole night and we could hear the loud noise of the water falling on the tin roof. We had a reservation for four nights and stayed just one, after agreement with the director of paying for one night getting the rest of our money our money back. This never happened. "Stayed for 3 days in March and found the hotel and staff to be great. The bed was comfortable and the amenities (kitchenette, bathroom) were good quality. The food in the restaurant was excellent. They have a lot of different choices for lunch and dinner and the servings were generous. Breakfast was also very good but we found it pricey for what you got. The staff - Alonso, Izak and William - were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others."

"It's out there from the basic touristy stuff so you are not at the Ritz but that is what you come here for. To get away and live with the land. Experience Costa. Close enough to Blue Falls, which should be on everyone's list. Property is what you imagine living in the Jungle would be like. Hear the Monkeys in the morning. "Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."
