"Arrived at 3 to check in and they said room would not be ready until 4. No lobby area to speak of, only 5 chairs and bar was completely full with only six tables and outside the bar was a restaurant that was empty and man said it was for food only. Another large restaurant area was empty, so why did the hotel didn't have another area to wait. When we did check in the couple in elevator said they arrived at 1 to check in and had to wait until 4. "Perfect location with a private beach and a wonderful swimming pool! We loved having our own fire pit on the beach, which was set up by the super friendly staff, watching the sunset and making s’mores and having great take-out food and pizza conveniently from the hotel. We’ll be back!"

"The Coastal 2-Double Queen Beds Room was spacious, clean and a gorgeous ocean view from the spacious balcony! The bathroom was spacious with a stand alone shower and jacuzzi tub. The service from the front desk to the employees who cook the meals and clean the rooms and the property throughout were very welcoming and friendly. When we visit San Diego again this is our home away from home."

"Beautiful property and amazing staff! We had such a wonderful stay at Estancia la Jolla. The hotel was such a nice, peaceful, escape! We loved everything- the plants, gardens, and whimsical touches. We had our wedding at Estancia and it was the BEST day! Our hotel guests loved their stay and the entire experience! They commented on how the good the food and service were. However, what really set this place apart from other hotels is the staff! Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and professional....

"Such an amazing view from our Surf Pad room! Staff very friendly and accommodating! Hotel was clean and our room was maintained daily. Will be back again!! The ocean breeze coming through our room was to die for!"
