"We spent 5 nights at Sophia Hotel in the Haggia (Terrace) suite. The hotel itself is in a great location and walkable to all restaurants and attractions. In terms of noise levels, the hotel IS situated across a public square and there was a festival taking place the last few days of our stay. It did get loud at times but by 11pm the music/performances stopped. Same with the rooftop lounge. They'd play music during the day and evening, but by 10-11pm it was quiet. "We have been to Cartagena a number f times. This was our best hotel experience to date. It is in a great location. Close to the restaurants but away from the walled city and all the neve ending vendors there. There is a great Salsa club just a block away. The staff is amazing. Friendly, helpful and attentive. Both teh hotel and the restaurant which also very good! The hotel is small, intimate and beautiul. We will stay here again! "

Everything was modern and comfortable; and the rain-head warm showers were the best. "What a gem! We were booked for 3 nights and had a suite on the second floor. It was lovely. Great attention to the Spanish Colonial theme in the hotel. Sergio checked us in and was wonderful. Nice view from the rooftop of part of the harbour and the Castillo de San Felipe. No bar there, but you can take a beverage and enjoy it. There is a small pool. I would strongly recommend a stay there!"
