Hotel dekat La Rhune

"THIS is the place to stay when staying near Saint Jean De Luz. We actually decided to book here last-minute after our other hotel (highly rated, btw) was lackluster and we wanted to keep the good vacation vibes going. This is a renovated estate with the original building dating from the 1600s. We stayed in the smallest room, but even this was super well appointed and comfortable for two people. The pool area is amazing, and it's so nice to have a Michelin-rated restaurant as part of the auberge....

Nespresso et théière à disposition dans la chambre avec thé café et infusions. Très bien situé dans le centre historique de saint Jean de Luz proche des restaurants et à quelques minutes à pieds de la plage. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir."

"Lovely hotel. Quiet. Even with a wedding, you cannot hear anything because windows are soundproof. The only negative is that the air conditioning us centrally controlled by thr manager, who is not often on site…and so we were very hot and could not use the air conditioning. We had the “fan” option; but turning around hot air is not ideal."

"Public areas had a nice castle look. Our room had a lovey view. Breakfast was good, especially sitting in the courtyard. The hotel location is great for exploring the historic town and walls. Hotel parking was tight, but much better than dragging cases up the hill from the public parking (which was very full). I had an issue with my car, which involved calling a mechanic (who spoke no english). The reception staff were very helpful communicating with him for me."

The town of Bera is known for being the place where Pío Baroja and his famous relativos lived and died. We wished to hear the sounds of the notable organ located at the cathedral, but it was not possible fue to unavailability of Church officials. "Hôtel très bien situé et c’est son point fort. Un peu vieillot mais ça fait son charme. Par contre la personne à l’accueil n’y est quasiment jamais. Il délégue tout à sa femme de ménage même l’encaissement d’une facture de séjour…!! Nous aurions pu quitter notre chambre sans payer… Difficile à accepter vu le prix et le peu de chambres finalement. Voilà comment ce qui pourrait être une pépite se transforme en gâchis par le manque de professionnalisme d’une personne censée y travailler. Même en...
