This is a guest house and we don't stay at this type of property very often but the owners were very nice and helpful. It is a 1700 era building but is updated. There is a museum in the hotel which very interesting. In fact the owner will give you tour of his collection when you're staying at his house. Breakfast was delicious and it was a great location. Short walk into the center of town

A totally unique hotel, the hotel is a museum as well and it was lovely to have our breakfast amongst some interesting antiques, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble for our host, would definitely recommend

Great Stay!

Amazing place, a beautiful large room overlooking the patio, great renovated bathroom and a spacious walk-in closet. The location is perfect, just minutes away from the port. Highly recommend!

O local é absolutamente encantador, uma espécie de museu, com obras da Índia, com estátuas, tapeçarias, quadros etc. É possível tomar o café da manhã ou um chá da tarde apreciando as obras.

La chambres est spacieuse et le lit très confort. Le wifi très efficace La vmc de la salle de bain était très bruyante et impossible d’ouvrir la fenêtre car la chambre donne sur la rue . L’offre et la maison se prêtent plus à un court séjour touristique qu’à un déplacement professionnel . Le petit déjeuné étant servi à 8:30 ce n’est pas compatible avec une activité professionnel . Les propriétaires ont été accueillant et arrangeant Merci

You could not ask for a more unique and personal experience. Staying in a living museum and being treated like family, is something very special. All the restaurants and the ports are within a few minutes walk and the parking is a 10 minute walk.

Michel and Beroze were lovely hosts, very warm and welcoming. Their place really is like staying in an elegant museum. It’s beautifully decorated with so much care and love. We had a lovely spacious room, clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed the history of the place and the access to lovely rooms throughout the building. The inner courtyard is very peaceful for that afternoon drink. Parking is 5 minutes walk away but you can drop your luggage off at the front red door which is great. The old town is a short walk away and we found La Rochelle to be a lovely place to visit. We had excellent recommendations for dinner from Beroze which we appreciated. All in all a memorable stay.

This property is a lovely historic house with beautiful decor and well appointed rooms. It is a very unique guest house with a lot of art, sculptures and antiques. The owners are very friendly. The continental breakfast was simple but a nice way to start the day. The Expedia description of the guesthouse says the property has a cafe, 18-hole golf course and 2 beach bars, which is not accurate. However, there is mini-golf and a river in the park nearby, but it's not part of the property. There is no daily housekeeping, but you can ask for clean towels.

We had a delightful stay at La Résidence des Indes. The accommodations were very nice and very centrally located. Beroze and Michel are wonderful hosts. We would highly recommend this unique place for an overnight visit or an extended stay.
