"Nice rooms, nice pool, nice distant view of the sea. Tucked away from busy streets which will appeal to some but others will miss being close to restaurants and bars. Breakfast is available but you need to drive to get lunch and dinner as there is no restaurant onsite. We enjoyed our stay and didn’t mind driving out and arranging dinner in advance."

"Disappointing. This is a spacious gated resort. The Marina Hotel is a 4 storey building at one edge. A shuttle service is necessary to get to the restaurant and activity areas which are about 2Km away These shuttle vehicles must be summoned by phone. These vehicles are high and awkward. I am 70 and could not manage the steps up. If you are over 30 and even slightly heavy you will struggle. Shuttle buses only operate within the resort. "There is a reason privacy of resort has that name, it is in a quiet part of the quiet side of Koh Chang. If you want to stay somewhere lively, with nearby bars restaurants and tattoo parlours, stay on the west side. Privacy is family-run, six very pleasant bungalows around a lovely swimming pool, all set in a beautifully garden.
