"This hotel always supplies me with what I want; a quiet place to sleep with a decent bed and a fair price. Unfortunately, this June 2026 visit the price seemed to have increased 20-25% so I was sad and cried. I always stay here when visiting Lafayette, so whether I give it 3 or 5 stars don’t matter, I’ll be back. Unless it’s $80/night again. If that happens I’ll never be back and will stay at one of those sketchy hotels on University and save $30."

"Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, and the breakfast was good. The kids loved the indoor pool, that was the main reason we booked City Express. Would definitely recommend and be coming again. Wouldve been nice to have some options of meds to purchase like benadryl, ibuprofen, aspirin but not complaining at all. Really enjoyed our stay."

"Staff upon arrival was not the friendliest, was more worried about being on her cell phone rather than helping guests. Hot tub was not "hot". Overall we love the hotel, not our first visit & not our last."
