Our room was perfect--at the top of the house with a balcony and view. They are very detail- conscious and the little "extras" were greatly appreciated. Our only problem was finding the place, dropping off the luggage and parking our rental car. Once we got that sorted, all went well.

Endroit exceptionnel. Accueil très chaleureux et prévenant. On nous a aidé à nous installer et on a pu ranger nos bicyclettes dans un lieu sécuritaire. La chambre est magnifique et très confortable. On nous a même offert une bouteille de vin. Lit très confortable, bonne douche et petit déjeuner exceptionnel.

Overall a really nice place. The location would be ideal if you are looking for somewhere near the nightlife and activity of old Lagos. If you are looking for a quieter getaway, however, this might not be suitable. We had some noise late at night from the town. But the building, the rooms, beds, staff and breakfast were all outstanding.

This hotel rarely had staff available and was in a noisy location. The rooms were tired and somewhat dirty. The walls and area rugs were stained I was also charged for 3 rooms when I had only booked two.They along with Expedia refuse to rectify this situation. My sister in law stayed in a hotel hostel close by, it was clean, she had a private room and bathroom, ocean view, balcony and breakfast served to them in their room. For half the price. Staff was there 24/7. I will stay there over Residence Lagos next time,

Located in easy walking distance to everything, yet quiet in the evenings. Good size room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Well kept and extremely clean. I enjoyed my stay, the staff friendly and helpful. The only thing you need to know is parking is a few blocks away, and it’s not easy to park in front and drop your bags off.

Had a wonderful time. Felt very welcomed as soon as we arrived with the friendly receptionist giving us a tour of the hotel and giving us info on the area. Hotel is right inside the old city which made exploring really easy as you doing want to be driving on the narrow streets. Breakfast was good and a wonderful lady made us fresh squeezed orange juice every day. Thank you for a great stay! Obrigado! Julie and Bryan 🇨🇦

This is more of a b&b rather than a hotel. It has 7 rooms. Doesn’t look anything like in their web photos There is nothing wrong with it if you are paying a fair price and not 200 euros pn like I did. The rooms are basic with creaking doors and noisy fridge. No individual bedside lights ( was suggested I take one bulb out!!)There is no one in the property after breakfast so you for example can’t refill your bottle of water. The check in was swift and friendly and there were little lovely gestures like a bottle of wine in room and cookies on checking out. The breakfast was adequate with boiled egg for hot. Everything else cold. Fresh orange juice was a nice treat. Perspective of pricing, I have been travelling from north to south of Portugal for last 2 weeks. I have come to my next stop faro where I am staying at a well known 5 star hotel. I booked all the hotels in advance at the same time. Here I paid 250 euros pn for a superior room and it has 24 hour service and oool and spa. So my conclusion is that you should get what you pay.

The staffs were friendly/helpful; it's located in downtown with everything is within walking distance. The room is quirky nice in the attic with a private balcony with a view of the surrounding area and the ocean.

We loved our stay at Residence!! The property is in such an amazing location - 20 seconds walk from lots of restaurants, bars, shops and more, yes it's quiet and private. Luana and the staff were super friendly and keep the rooms and common areas so clean and tidy. I would highly recommend staying here and would stay again!!

The hotel is small, with only a few rooms, which makes it quiet, clean, and full of character. It has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the location is excellent. The staff were truly friendly and wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent.

Fantastic location in Lagos. Super cute facility, very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice common sitting areas, both inside and out. There is no lift/elevator, and 2 of the rooms are: down a small set of stairs, then up a long circular set, then up another long circular set. Be ready for that with luggage! The staff are happy to help with that. And some of the rooms don't require so many stairs. The free public parking lot is a 3-5 minute walk on uneven cobblestone. It can be very busy/full. The streets are narrow, one-way, and not on a grid so getting to the parking lot when you are unfamiliar with the area can be more challenging than you might expect. Be prepared for a little bit of "arrival frustration."

Charmant petit hotel (ancienne maison réconvertie) peu de chambres, personnel agréable et acceuillant. Avec un petit patio interieur avec une petite piscine, et un salon calme, pour être seul ou partagé avec les autres résidents. Petit-déjeuner uniquement. Situé au-dessus de la place centrale (touristique), mais aussi proche des cafés-bar-restaurants "locaux" (mieux servis et acceuillis que dans l'attrape-touristes), et à ~10min à pied du bord de mer et plages.

This place was ok. No staff was there when we arrived and rang mid day but a phone call fixed that. The staff person was welcoming and friendly once we met her. The stay was average-to-good. The good: it’s a decent location near the center of Lagos but away from the main drag and all its activity and noise. It was clean. What could improve: They didn’t provide enough toiletries for example shampoo and soap to last through the stay. The furnishings felt dated. The safe was not large enough to hold a laptop. It didn’t feel like there was a lot of privacy for example in terms of hearing the rooms next to you but this is to be expected in an old guesthouse. Overall I would not stay there again. Other people might enjoy it more.
