"The idea of staying an underground hotel was exciting & the accommodation itself was quite basic (comparable to the price). Unfortunately there was a lot lacking, particularly customer service and cleanliness. We arrived mid-afternoon and reception was closed - a note on the door to go to the bar/restaurant to check-in - which we did. The staff member advised that reception was on their break and we would have to wait, no indication of how long and now attempt to check us in... About 30 minutes...

"Fantastic staff. Bar and restaurant were great. The burger and steak sandwich were unreal. Booked a two night stay but left after one as the were random people throughout the night drinking amd smoking outisde our room from about 1am onwards. We asked them to move or be quiet but they kept coming back. The smell from the bathroom was fairly average from the sulphur, the hotel we used the following night did not have this issue. Long great for a meal but not for a stay."

"when opening the door to the room which was difficult as the door was scrapping across the floor. The room smelt so bad of bleach that i had to leave the door open for 45 minutes to get rid of some of the smell. the shower floor was covered with dead insects. the floor had dead flies as well. "

"My stay.at Longreach was OK. The room was clean although looking tired, curtains stained & need to be renewed. The hosts were great people, very ameniable. I think considering where the town is one can’t expect what’s available in larger places which draw considerably more tourists."

"The room was lovely. My only comment is that it would be nice to have a bench or something in the bathroom, or even hooks for clothes. Also no milk was provided for tea and coffee which I found a bit odd."
