"Upon checking in, we found the hotel undergoing a co.plete renovation. Most of the main lobby closed off and the bar moved to the restaurant. The elevators were also being renovated and taken out of service 1 or 2 at a time out of the 3. I would have expected Expedia to have some type of construction notice when booking. I always stay at the Southbank when in Jacksonville, but this had to be the most disappointing visit EVER!!! Call the hotel beforehand to confirm status of renovation to avoid...

"Mold! There was mold in our first room. We both got extremely sick from it. We stayed for 7 days and spent 5 of them sick. They only give you two flat pillows for a queen/king bed and we requested more and finally days later got them. Our second room only had one bath towel but we made it work for the days we were there. The wifi - where to begin? Constantly lagging and not connecting. The place didn’t even have basic cable so it was an adventure. Spend a few dollars more and find a better...

"Clean room, friendly staff great view"

"No coffee maker and no microwave in the room! The air conditioner unit appears very old and dirty, evem though the building is new. The air coming out of it was bad, we started coughing. We wanted to turn it off completely, but the system is set up that it is impossible to turn it off, the air blows constantly. Maintenance said there is nothing they can do. Horrible hotel for a Hilton brand."

"The hotel rooms were very clean. The staff are very kind and considerate. Breakfast was a blessing. Charlie who is charge of breakfast was a pleasure to talk to. He also did a great job keeping all entrees full and hot. This hotel makes you feel safe and like family"

"Wonderful hotel, comfortable beds. Breakfast was beyond basic- I would recommend to skip and go elsewhere for breakfast. All food was previously frozen packaged from a basic shop. Nothing was in house cooked in the morning Surprised, since hotel has a chef on staff."

"Room was clean, one of the queen beds sheets did have a stain along with one of the pillow cases. One pillow was well past it's life and probably was due to be replaced. Overall the room was very clean and the hotel had a great bistro with very friendly and helpful staff."
