"Just a heads up for English speaking travelers, that only one peraon who worked there spoke a little English, which is understandable but just an fyi. It made check-in a little difficult. The shower did not really work. I was only there for a day. It is nice for a more rugged kind of place. A little run down, but unique. The people where nice and helpful despite the language barrier. Again, I am not saying the people who live in rual Costa Rica should know how to speak English of course, but...

I mentioned that we would be celebrating our daughter’s bday while we were there and they knocked on the door with a huge slice of chocolate cake and a candle and sang Feliz cumpleanos. "Our family had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. The views are truly outstanding. We enjoyed a variety of different activities while in the area, but cooked all our meals in the room. The kitchenette is basic, but we managed just fine. The included breakfasts were a highlight - plentiful, fresh, homemade and delicious! We heard howler monkeys and saw toucans from the balcony!
