"The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. This was a family trip and unfortunately my father got ill (stomach bug). The staff were so helpful and accommodating to his needs. This place is perfect for a peaceful and quiet getaway. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. We even got some coconuts cut for us. "We were in a bit of shock when we reached Cocomar. The pictures must have been taken years back as the rooms were rather worn out. We had to pay extra to upgrade to a suite because our original room was tiny and rather depressing. The room was smelly - probably not aired out enough. "This place is about 1hour and 45min from SJO and it was the perfect trip for a few days to visit nearby Parrita and Jaco. We wanted a quiet romantic bitoque hotel and it’s exactly what we got. We walked to the beach (about 10-15 min walk) and then relaxed by the pool. The property views were amazing! The room was clean and comfortable. "

"This is a very strange property. There are a lot of hotels, private condominiums sharing the same facilities but having separate gated access. The common grounds, however, aren’t being looked after so well. The Selvamar section we stayed in was okay, but a bit tired now. Room was much smaller than anywhere else we stayed in Costa Rica, but it was comfortable.
