"It took us 3 attempts to get into our reserved room. First, the key card didn't work, then they changed our room and gave us a new key card - which had walk into a room already occupied by a family. The third time it finally worked. The room itself was good - clean and comfortable. The manager did call us to apologize and comped us a dessert, and the front desk comped our parking when we left, so they did make good on the initial confusion. The only real disappointment with Loews KC was the number of dogs in the hotel. It made it seem more like the type of cheap motel with the room doors facing a parking lot. In particular, in the lobby, the staff did nothing with a woman who had an excitable labradoodle on an extendable lease that kept running all over the place. Even if it is clean, it doesn't feel clean with so many animals in the place. The room error was forgivable, and the manager and staff were apologetic and polite and quickly made up for it. But the issues with so many dogs given free rein inside means we will never stay at this hotel again."
