Great value place to stay

Great location! Just a short walk down the alley to the bustling area. Nice pool, the place had a peaceful atmosphere, the room was clean, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely great value for the price. Highly recommend it!

this was exactly what we needed, somewhere a little quieter away from the hotel life. villa was lovely and spacious. great having a washing machine so we could catch up!

Side street gem, close to the start of everything

We selected Svarna Suites as a hideaway from the bustle - its a little gem hidden off the main streets but lacking nothing because of it. Reasonably well appointed, but requiring a creative touch, the rooms are spacious and closely resemble the advertised facilities. Some care could be given to small details such as making sure that in-room cutlery matched, or crockery came from the same set. Air-conditioning is on the marginal end of adequate, but still effective relatively speaking. The very young and somewhat disempowered staff did their utmost to provide advertised in-room furniture, and to remedy little daily mishaps such as shortfalls in towel supply, or attending to routine service matters related to house-keeping - indeed, were it not for their friendly, willing and unreserved attempts to solve problems like internet connectivity failing, or some continental breakfast items being unavailable, this stay would have been less enjoyable. The serene and private pool is a blessing in the heat, and a great potential asset, but it needs a good 'doctoring' to get rid of the cloudiness and restore its sparkle. A timing issue I am sure. The manager was exceptionally helpful in organising private transport to specific venues such as a distant golf course. We'd book again and use Svarna as a base for Bali exploration anytime, especially as the property is a mere 5 min walk from Malo's Restaurant, about 7min to the start of the main street, and access to all Legian and Kuta offer.

REALLY POOR - hotel fine, BUT...

This place is a joke, but I guess you get what you pay for, around AU$50 a night I would be expecting a lot more by Bali standards. Staff are pleasant, but have little to no understanding of English & are hardly attentive to anything you may need due to lack of understanding. The minibar is not stocked & don't bother going to the restaurant to order a beer or a bottle of cold water, they have nothing. Rooms are not cleaned each day, just make the bed & potter around a little. The sheets or cover have not been changed in 8 days, same case for the towels if I did not throw them on the floor. Although are probably replaced with the ones from room next door. The handbasin is disgraceful & kitchenette bench top has not been cleaned or wiped once since I arrived. Leave a dish in the sink, it may just stay there. The pool is filthy. A local friend of mine also passed comment on the cleanliness of the water. Wifi extremely intermittent, even with local SIM card & 3G, there are many parts of the room with no signal. I won't even bother mentioning the restaurant, & didn't Care to ask about breakfast. In all the years I've been coming here (avg 2 times a year) this place is one of the grubbiest hotels I've stayed in. Lazy staff led by an equally lazy manager. Lift your game or you'll end up just another dingy and empty establishment.

Nice Hotel for the price.

We stayed here for a night before going to our resort Hotel. This Hotel is ok for the price if you need a place for a night or two. The hotel is located in a cheap area, good to walk arround and see the locals. Taxi drivers mistake this hotel for another one further away, so make sure you explain to them "the svarna SUITES" and "it's hard to find" when you jump in a taxi. The rooms are comfortable, staff are very friendly (like any hotel in Bali) and it is good priced. The cleanliness could improve a lot and there is not a lot of choice for food here. Definitely not a good place if you have children with you. This Hotel suits single people who is out all day and just needs a cheap, remote place to sleep at night :)

Quiet Hotel

Nice quiet hotel within walking distance of everything Seminyak has to offer. Shopping both store and street. It's far enough away from the great music scene but close enough to walk or a short motorbike ride away Staff very helpful. I extended my stay by three days.
