"The welcome was friendly and the front desk staff, mostly Nicole, were helpful. The free drink when you arrive is a nice touch! The rooms are whimsical, and if you don't like clowns (trigger warning!), the Moxy is based on the theme of the local Allentown Fairgrounds. It is stylish and fun to be there. There are comfortable gathering spaces for large groups and smaller spaces to curl up by the fire alone or for a couple.
Moxy uses third parties for valet, and $22 plus tip daily can be expensive, but on-street parking is available if you are willing to walk a bit. They also use a third party for housekeeping, and the cleanliness of the rooms is not good; the linens (pillowcases) smelled stale. The tile in the bathroom had indiscernible marks on it, and the floor by my bed was sticky. I did ask them to refresh my bedding but the pillow cases still smelled stale and unclean. I used a sweatshirt over my pillow to sleep on. I am not a germaphobe, but I was a little uncomfortable in this room.
One of the elevators had a wall-to-wall floor of beer - wet beer - everywhere, and I told the front desk manager, and he mopped it up. I think if someone was able to walk the property (having more than one clerk/manager on would help) then they could see this kind of thing. It is a social spot, so there is a lot of partying - HOWEVER, the noise in the room was minimal.
I would say that if you come to the Moxy, enjoy the bar, the atmosphere, and the service at the front desk."
