"The property is tired and rooms and bathrooms need updating. Beautiful old hotel with history! Staff extremely helpful with a smile. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the boiler was not working in the main building but the rooms with hot water were too hot in 30+ degree temps, uncomfortable to sleep in, so we were given both rooms, one where it was cool enough to sleep in and the other we can have hot water. Very accommodating! Thank you."

"We accidentally booked the wrong month, through Expedia. Expedia said we could move the booking, but the hotel needed to do it. The hotel said we could move the booking, but Expedia needed to do it. We lost the money and had to book again. Parking is very limited, you have to park in the hospital car park, which I'm not comfortable with. The aircon was good but shut itself off in the middle of the night, at which point the fridge started making a clanking sound, or maybe it was the aircon. The...

"No frills but good location. I just needed a bed and shower during a trip to see a concert at the nearby De Montfort Hall. It's a great location for that, less than 5mins walk, also near plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.
It's cheap so I didn't expect much. The room and toilet/shower was basic but clean. There were no curtains, just blinds...so in the summer and with a heat wave it was quite unbearable. There's an electronic lock on the room doors but not on the main outside door so anyone...
