"We had an excellent two-night mini break at this hotel and would happily stay again. The hotel was well maintained, with ample parking, a great bar, and a lovely outdoor patio area that we thoroughly enjoyed in the sunshine.
We didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. However, it's worth noting that if you book through a third-party site such as Expedia or Hotels.com, access to the spa and swimming pool incurs an additional charge of £10 per person for the duration of your stay. This wasn't made clear at the time of booking and came as a surprise.
On our first night, there was some disturbance from a group of local youths driving noisily along the road at the front of the hotel. However, the hotel staff dealt with the situation promptly and professionally, which was appreciated and helped minimise the disruption.
The hotel was perfectly located for exploring the local town and the excellent restaurants nearby. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly return."
