"Terrible stay. Dirty rooms, Breakfast is non-existent and all continental only. A lot of maintenance workers stay here, so you can imagine the standard. Depressing side of the road lodge. It is not a hotel really, more like a youth hostel!"

"Been several years since I last stayed here. It is in a beautiful rural hamlet only 20 mins from Welwyn Garden City. It is a very quaint place to stay that is dog friendly. The staff are also great. I didn’t realise the bar closed at 8pm on a Monday and the menu was very limited for me as a gluten free diner. I had to have dinner between 6 and 7 ish. "Best service we have ever received from staff. Every single member of staff we encountered at the hotel was incredibly polite, kind and extremely helpful. Mia at the front desk was particularly helpful & super lovely, as was the restaurant manager. We felt so incredibly welcome and well looked after throughout our stay, despite having some issues with our booking through Expedia. "This is lovely hotel in the heart of Wendover. Lots of character. Our room was very well equipped, very comfy bed, hanging space and drawers, small fridge with complimentary milk and bottle of water, and even complimentary sloe gin! The bathroom was clean and shower was great. The room was quite warm but a fan was provided. The included breakfast had a buffet with fruit, yoghurt, croissants, meat, cheese etc, and a cooked breakfast was also available, which was great. There is lots of outside...

"My rooms was large & comfortable. Apart from the heater it was excellent. My evening meal was a limited buffet that cost £30. Tbh I don’t eat a lot as would have like the option of a small meal."

"Easy check in/out. Was quiet in the hotel which was good. Room had a musky smell. Found hairs in the bedding. Breakfast was served by one of the M25 services stalls, which was ok, but would've preferred a buffet for more choice rather than just a full English."

For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised.
