"This is my fourth stay at this hotel. It's always clean despite it showing its age
and obvious wear and tear mostly in the bathroom with regard to the caulking
and water seal around the shower and floor and I've never seen any mold anywhere.
I am looking forward to a transition away from carpet. Beds were clean and
comfortable. I always fumble with the pillows but they are good. Mom said they
were too soft. For me, they were just right.
Front desk staff were amazing! Nice, polite, answered all our questions, and made
excellent restaurant recommendations. The coffee and tea were freshly brewed with
one of the staff asking my mom to wait as she was getting ready to brew fresh tea.
Mom said it was very good. The breakfast items were pretty standard. Yogurt, waffles
(freshly made), cereal, biscuits and gravy, etc.
Our only complaint was pool access. There was no easy way to access it. The exit
closest to the pool was marked as "Emergency Exit Only" leaving you the option of
going out the front door (through a very heavily used smoking area) and around the
hotel or out the exit at the opposite end of the hotel furthest from the pool and
walking the length of the hotel to get to it. As my mom was with us, I made sure to
book this one so she could get in after driving all day. The thunderstorm is the only
thing that made it negligible.
Otherwise, a great place to stay for the money."
