"You cannot beat the view from this hotel of mount etna, the coast and Taormina from above - it was outstanding. You saw this from the restaurant, the infinity pool and also our room. It does mean you are above the town which requires a walk down a fair number of steps into town (and back up) or use of the free hourly hotel shuttle, but the walk is also beautiful and was very doable in October’s mild weather. "We had the most beautiful stay at Hotel Villa Belvedere. We arrived late in the day after missing a flight. They had a concierge outside waiting to meet us and valet our car. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of wine and shown to our beautiful room. The rooms were comfortable and clean with everything we needed. "I put easy parking because you will park in a lot and then take a free shuttle into town. However, then you have to tow your luggage around to Casa Turrisi and up a large flight of stairs to the reception up to your room on a tight staircase. The room was small but comfortable with a very compact bathroom that could use a good bleaching on the shower grout. It is quick walk to everywhere in town. "This hotel is around an hour and 20 from Catania airport - Taxi cost € 140 and bus coach costs € 7. Its location is absolutely fabulous for your visit . Alex , you have been an incredible host.
