Do not expect a hotel! KPH is a low budget motel (their words, not mine!) for a price you can rent an actual hotel room in Palo Alto, CA. The room advertised as “Standard Studio, Mountain View”, priced at about $170 on Expedia, has no mountain view, and is tiny. Shower and toilet are tiny and both are basic at best. There is no way to avoid hearing the office staff chat with incoming guests or even guests or staff passing by. since all windows are screen covers with glass shatters. The door has wooden shatters that cannot be closed . Nothing to stop out side noise by people, weather or the sound of a rolling suitcase. This is apparently the cheapest room and there is only one. Why and how would I know that? Apparently by choosing it I “chose” to hear any conversation in the floor and below, and also chose not to sleep until everyone is asleep. And don’t get me started about the size of the towels- more like hand towels than bath towels and not all so clean. I asked and they replaced it. One good thing I can say is that the mattress was comfortable!
You know what, keep everything, but please don’t call it a Hotel and let us know that a $170 room is really more like your hallway and not an actual private room that is worth that price.
