"Remote location, quiet, peaceful with fantastic scenery and views"

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes."

"A grand hotel in the countryside, it's a shame the state it's in now. The carpet is worn out in place's, the game's room is a complete mess and the hotel smells damp & musty. The dining room is grand and well maintained, the food is pretty good. The staff are friendly and helpful."
