This was an…interesting experience. Somewhat charming throwback of a hotel, yet obviously dated.
Beverly at check-in was super sweet. When we got to our room and realized it was nothing like what we had booked, she offered to show me a couple other options. Know that there are many room layouts and what you see online is probably not what you’ll get.
Bed was clean and comfortable.
If you’re on the bottom floor, expect to see maintenance and housekeeping walking by your windows rolling bins of laundry and using equipment throughout the day.
The shrubs need a good trim in order to make it a true oceanfront experience, otherwise you will only see the horizon.
We had trouble with the heater/fireplace. Anytime we flushed the toilet it gurgled up through the shower drain and flooded the floor under the toilet. Maintenance came in a timely fashion, but I don’t believe this was a one time occurrence just for us.
Taking a shower proved tricky in that the drain clogged up very quickly so you were ankle deep in the water. Very gross.
The kitchen had all we needed as far as utensils, but just two of each regarding plates, bowls, cups. A couple more sets would’ve been helpful.
Coffee filters would be a nice addition for those who bring their own coffee. Otherwise, prepacked Folgers filters are supplied.
All in all, wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
