"The Mill Hotel is in an excellent position, overlooking the mill pond and adjoining common. There is ample parking nearby and it is just a short walk into the lovely town of Sudbury. There is an attractive restaurant and bar, with feature water wheel, and the food was good. The rooms were well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Due to the historic age of the hotel, there's no lift, which would have caused me problems if my room had been on an upper floor."

"The breakfast was very nice but what let this place down was. the following. The continental breakfast wasn't included! Room was very clean. The bathroom was up two steps, which felt weird and the shower area had black mould on a couple of tiles. The floor was extremely uneven, it made us feel like we were on a ship that was listing! The bed was so hard, it felt like we were sleeping on a board. There was a hole in the floorboards covered up with carpet."

"We asked for a quiet room. So two 70+ year olds given a room adjacent to the corridor to lift access door. From 3.30am that door was banging every 10-15 minutes as people with early flights went through it. No I wasn't going to ask to move rooms at that time in the morning as I just wanted to sleep. Hampton used to be our favourite before this stay, not so now."

"The reception was unwelcoming. The rooms were awful, my room the carpet full of cigarette burns. The shower head virtually disconnected. Worst was still to come! They did not have scotch whiskey. The menu pathetic. My friends pizza inedible and stale. My fish a chips were the worst I have ever tasted. In hindsight we should have sent the meals back. The prebooked taxi was 10 minutes late and the driver had to be told to slow down. Without any question, this is the very worst hotel we have ever...
