A very nice pub to stay in nice bar and friendly staff. Kitchen available with free cereal etc the room was clean and decent and a good shower in the en suite. For the price paid it was very good. Parking was ok but on street. No food available when I stayed but a take away near by and the food was excellent there also the Mersey pub a short walk down the road with nice view over the river. Very happy and would stay again.
Stayed in a room with the cooler for the pub on the outside of the wall. Zero sleep. If booking, avoid room 10 if you wish to actually sleep

Very basic hotel
I arrived at 10:00, music from the bar was very loud and seemed to go on forever, slept well, tho, cos it had been a busy day, breakfast (milk and tea bags etc., was off!
Having booked our hotels for the festival weekend quite late, this was our last choice. When we arrived the staff were fairly friendly and showed us to the rooms. However the people inside the pub downstairs stared us out like they'd never seen anyone like us before. I went to the local corner shop (1 min away) to get some snacks and was started on twice by locals. They told us that the pub would close at 12 which was fine as we had to get up early the next day to check out. However, the tragic karaoke and out of key Ed Sheehan covers went on until past 3am. The rooms were vibrating and we couldn't sleep at all. There was fighting right outside my window until the early hours as well. We left swiftly in the morning trying to figure out where to check the keys in as no staff were around at the allocated time. I hugely recommend this hotel if you're looking for somewhere loud and dodgy. If you're looking for a proper nights sleep and comfy beds, maybe try somewhere else.
I did not have the opportunity to visit the room as there was no attendant. It was isolated withing a rubbish environment with just dogs barking in a locked room. It was situated in a run down Estate with ganglike boys on the bike parading the environment. It's a shame that that type of hotel should be advised on your site. It's totally rubbish. I couldn't sleep in that environment for free.
Having read some of the reviews on this hotel I wasn't expecting much, but actually it was much better than I thought. The room was actually quite nice, with a reasonable telly and an ensuite, and was very clean. Check in was done at the pub and then I was taken up to the room. Breakfast was minimal help yourself (cereal and fruit), but I didn't really need that. The bus stop is about a 10 minute walk under a tunnel to the bridge slip road. Warning: the bus to Liverpool takes over an hour! The only problem that I had was with the keys: I struggled to open the outside door, and eventually the barman had to let me in, and then I struggled to close my room door. For check out you leave the key in the room door.

Greit nok
Helt greit, men smått. Hyggelig betjening, men den ene senga var ødelagt. Ikke altfor dyrt med taxi til Liverpool sentrum.
The shower room is small and has no hook and the bathroom door cannot be shut properly. Had to use a bag to stop it from opening. Nowhere to put our clothes and towel inside the bathroom except on the basin or on the floor. The basin is rather small. Clothes got wet after washing my face.
Playing really loud music on the ground floor.
Room is warm and water is hot.
Booked last minute for one of our regular trips to transport our son home to London from University in Liverpool. Room above a pub in a residential area. Food served until 7:30pm. Very basic lukewarm pub grub. Nowhere else locally found to eat. Parking nearby in residential streets.Room was tiny (only one person could stand up at a time and door to en-suite could not be closed while showering as it was too difficult to get out of the cubicle or use the sink! No breakfast provided, but kitchen area available close by for hot drink making and toast. Could have coped with all of this, had there not been an extremely loud party going on in the pub until very late, directly underneath our heads-thought my ears would start to bleed! Once that had finally finished, we were woken by a very loud argument outside the (double glazed) window at about 3:00am and finally gave up all idea of sleeping at 6:15 am, when someone started persistently knocking on the front door, again right below our heads. Left exhausted and stressed before the drive home.
In fact I booked two stays at the Hotel which they took payment for from my card unknown to me at time off booking and we will not be returning to it even though it has cost £160. that is how much we HATED IT!
Ich habe vertraut auf die Empfehlung, dies war ein grosser Fehler!
Zukünftig werde ich auf jegliche Hotelbuchungen bei "Hotels.com" verzichten.
Freundliche Grüsse

I booked this place so that I could stay close to where I needed to be instead of a 500 mile round trip in one day. The place is above a pub on a housing estate. I had to wait 15 minutes to be seen at the bar/reception. On going upstairs to my room I could smell a dirty smell. I was shown the shared kitchen which didn't look clean and the room itself smelt and this was despite the window already being left wide open. The lady said the key was a problem with the door and the front door wouldn't be locked overnight. Not very good for security. I had a look around the room and felt that I could not stay in a room that was not clean. This was appalling. I went back to reception and advised the lady that I would not be staying and was checking out. I would like a refund of what I paid but I doubt I would get that back now. I was not even offered it at the time. I would advise people to strongly look elsewhere if they want somewhere to stay.
Had a great stay at the hotel. Staff couldn't of made us feel and more welcomed!! Enjoy a pint in the pub which had a great atmosphere and was really clean. Only issue we had was not been able to turn the radiator off on what was already a hot night, although I'm sure if we had mentioned this to a member off staff it would have been dealt with. Overall great value for money
