"Ok let’s start by stating the location is beautiful, the golf courses are superb, and the hotel grounds are lovely. The hotel seems very tired. Now this is my fault for kit checking but I guess when I’m paying £240 a night I didn’t really consider a hotel

"Nice hotel. We loved the spa but it could use some updating. We lost power and water one one of our days here, which we had to get ready for a wedding that day, so that was a bit stressful, but the spa was open and had power and water so that was good. The rooms could use updating, but overall, weren’t bad. The restaurant was incredible, the food was truly the best we had on our entire trip in the UK. Overall, weren’t felt 4 starts was pretty spot on. The rooms were maybe more on the 3 stars...
