"No check in information received, when I contacted the host was told ‘it’s not hard it’s left unlocked’ during our stay the host walked past us several times to feed the llamas head down, didn’t even say hello, text to ask how to use the gas fire during our stay and no response, was made to feel very unwelcome. Shame as the shepherds hurt is nice"

"We had the perfect stay. The Owls Nest was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. From the comfy bed, hot tub and the Webber bbq all made it so relaxing. Dog friendly which was a bonus. Jenny & Margaret were great hosts. We appreciated the special touches. We had such a lovely time that booked to go again before we left. Highly recommended."

"Hotel was really lovely! We just had a room which was on the top floor and asked if we could have another fan or the windows to be open more as it was so hot in there. Girl from the bar wrote it down and said she will speak to the general manager but she only works on the bar so couldn’t tell me an answer which was totally fine. She said she would come and tell us an answer however we never had a knock or heard anything which was really disappointing. Our sleep was awful as we were so hot, and...

"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"Good location but very tired property. Staff mostly polite but not really engaged. Make you prepay for parking but do not care if there is no space to actually park. Toilet did not work and room servicing poor. Cooked breakfast and coffee was thankfully OK. Town itself is cute and best place to eat is the very popular Corn Mill, a 5 minute walk away from this property."

"Stayed one night the inn was nice and the staff very friendly. The food was good in the restaurant and a good breakfast. The car park was full when we arrived and my car was damaged overnight with no note left. "

"Sadly disappointing - cleanliness lower than expected; stains on furniture and bedding, rips in carpet, dusty and flickering light fittings, dust in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Air con in room not working; small fan already switched on in room upon arrival. Windows could not be fully opened (understandable due to health and safety) - but some were totally sealed due to being covered in layers of paint. "I'm afraid that we're extremely disappointed with the state if this property. It smells of damp and water ingress everywhere, with stains and skirting hanging off, there's an overpowering smell and generally uncleandownstairs bedroom. I'm not sure how you can charge for this. "

"Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. Restaurant menu was limited but is being updated and the prices were reasonable, as was the bar. Breakfast was enough to keep you going for the day. Never got to use the pool but looked inviting.
