It was in basically a residential neighborhood which made it quiet. * About 2 blocks from 101, could not hear traffic * Great little neighborhood store about half a block away * A few blocks from the bustling State Street * Interesting twist: No office nor "front desk"; all was done via texting (i.e., needed shower mat and new towels - they arrived immediately). * No kitchen per se, but had microwave, frig, sink and Keurig coffee machine *...

"The breakfast was cold and a bit pricey at $65. It included 2 cups and an egg, but the OJ didn't seem freshly squeezed. Also, I thought it was supposed to be included with my roommate’s order. I would have eaten elsewhere for that price. I emailed the hotel never heard back and disputed the charge with my credit card company."

"Palihouse Santa Barbara is a fantastic boutique hotel in downtown, offering easy, walkable access to State Street and the beach. The rooms are incredibly clean, and our room's balcony provided the perfect additional space for outdoor relaxation. The staff is wonderfully helpful and welcoming. Best of all, it is highly pet-friendly—our dog absolutely enjoyed the stay! It is a great spot to come and enjoy Southern California. Will stay here again!"

"This is the perfect spot for a slow Santa Barbara weekend. It’s perfectly located to the beach, state street, and multiple restaurants! Their breakfast is good and they offer gluten free bread! Shout out to Jorge who gave us a thorough review of restaurant our first night. The rooms are spacious, the only downside is the small shower stalls, but the rest of the property more than makes up for it!"

"The sense of hospitality began with a friendly sincere Birthday welcome at Front Desk and as staff was aware of our room request we enjoyed the perfect location during out 4 day stay.Departing the property was equally accommodating as Arron went beyond ,, offering a solution to the removal of tar from a walk at the beach.
