I booked kip because of the location and the price and i wasnt expecting anything amazing considering the cost. So the flimsy bedding and pillow and tiny space with no window didnt upset me. When I arrived I was confused why so many left their doors open until i was in my room for an hour. Im from Florida and keep my home temp at 75 degrees and this room got so unbearbly hot and stuffy I couldnt stand it.the fact that these rooms have such little airflow is honestly worrisome and should be a safety hazard. The shower didnt have soap dispensors filled and the water burnt me because the water flashes hot to cold while your showering. Im talking steaming burning hot. When I contacted Kip they told me i could get a fan from the front desk (which did nothing) and didnt even acknowledge the shower. My last straw was when i walked back into my room and my room had been cleaned. When i checked in i was told my room would only be cleaned if i put the notice on my door to do so. My room was a mess from getting ready and i had left my undewear and jewelry out so i didnt want my room serviced. So when i came back and found my private belongings moved about i found it violating. So i packed my things and checked out early. When checking out i informed reception of what happened and the only thing they said was " thats odd because usually we get complaints that they dont clean the rooms that put their notice up" which i was just speechless. I asked if i needed to sign anything to check ..

I had a few different customer service experiences. When I initially arrived at the hotel, I had trouble booking. The gentleman at the front desk (I forgot his name) communicated effectively and problem-solved efficiently to get my wife and me in a room. My next customer service experience was not so bright. I asked a man what time the train ran on Sunday and he answered seeming annoying, almost bothered that I was asking him a question. Something I certainly wanted to highlight is a customer experience I had regarding the temperature of our room. During our 6-day stay in London, temperatures were hot, more than normal according to the news. We slept in our room for 3 days waking up to our sheets soaked due to sweat. I went and talked to the front desk about possibly changing rooms. She (forgot her name as well) let me know gently that all rooms were hot and the heat was due to rising temperatures in the city. She did not leave it there and went out of her way to accommodate us by finding a fan for us to use. She brought it to our room shortly after and shared that if we were still having trouble let her know.

Terrible experience with the staff and AC unit in our room. Location was amazing and the rooms were fine however the AC says it’s working at 18 degrees however I was dripping sweat at night. The hallways are very chilly though. Would not return.

We chose this property because it had air conditioning. Being from Florida that is a must for us. Although the hotel does have it it was not working on our floor for our entire stay. When we inquired about it being hot we were told we could not be moved to any other room and there were no more fans available. We had to sleep with our windows open to try to get a little breeze. This meant all the outside noise from passing people and vehicles kept us up most of the night. But veeyrhing else was great.

Didn't like the lactation far from everything. Our room was right beside the train station, heard every train was not overly loud but still heard it. They did not have an ice machine. Our air condition did not work, they gave use a fan instead of changing our room and when asked for a discount they said take it up with Expedia.

Overall, I am glad I stayed at the Kip hotel. It was a good hotel for the price I paid, however it definitely did not exceed my expectations. I really enjoyed the location and how close it was to the overground station - it made getting around the city incredibly easy! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. However, I did find my room to be lacking in cleanliness. Specifically the bed, which had a great deal of (somebody else’s) hair under the top sheet… I opted to sleep over top of the sheets/blanket and am glad I brought my own pillow case.
