"Clean room. Helpful staff. A lot of road noise in rooms at the front but peaceful with lovely views for rooms at the back of the hotel. Good buffet breakfast with gluten free options on request."

"The property was very run down . The facilities were badly looked after, if not non existent. The food was very average. The drinks were extremely overpriced. The hotel was much too expensive for what was on offer. We were expecting a spa hotel, and it definitely wasn’t. Very disappointed."

"Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"We had 3 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were nice but a little on the smaller side for a double. All the rooms had slightly different arrangement. Two of the rooms had a shower in the bath and for some reason one of the rooms baths didn’t drain well, we informed the hotel but they were unable to sort the problem during the stay. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Walhampton Arms. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient with assisting in our requests. This is a great place to stay to experience the local town. You get the perks that come with staying in a hotel balanced with the “mom and pop” feel associated with B&Bs. We will be looking to stay at their sister locations for our next city break! "
