"Good food at reasonable prices . Pleasant and helpful staff. Good position for visiting lots of places. We had an enjoyable few days there would definitely go again if we were visiting that area again."

All bathrooms need updating and decor and carpets need gone. Definitely the WiFi needs sorting out so you can get on it when you are in your room I wanted to chill out and watch Netflix but no internet Apart from that always a lovely stay and they accept dogs which is fab"

"We stayed one night at the Tempus. The decor was beautiful, the bed comfortable, the food was very good, and the staff were friendly. The problem with the place is style over substance. While beautifully decorated and large, the lighting in the room was a nightmare. There simply wasn't enough nor was it in the right places. The wet room was even worse. The mirrors were not placed properly, there wasn't enough light to see yourself properly and if one were to take a shower the entire room...

"Mark is super helpful. The bed in the family suite was really comfortable and the breakfast was decent, included cereals, fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice and the usual cooked selection with toast. The family suite room is well positioned and has sea views from both windows. Bamburgh is easily walkable from the B&B and there are dining options close by. We managed to park outside the property but there’s plenty parking further up the hill if needed. Imagine it’s hard to park at times. Wish we’d...

"Be aware sat nav sends you down the wrong road to access carpark, as you look at it face on, the carpark is on the road to the left of it. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking in carpark at back . Excellent breakfast. Enjoyed a lovely evening meal there. Good selection of wine and beer. Comfy beds. Clean."

"Look, don't get me wrong, it's not terrible by any means. It's just that for a hotel that's trying to play at this level, it struggles with some of the basics. If you're having a short stay there's no housekeeping by default, (which they don't tell you when you arrive) but there's only a small (non-heated) towel rail, so you're going to have soggy towels on day 2. Yes, there was a (small) sign in reception saying this, but it's the kind of thing it would be good for the receptionist to...

"Reception staff smiley and pleasant and efficient Nice room overlooking entrance and pretty flower bed. Bar a little small and too noisy as children running around."

"The room was very big and spacious. It was very clean and came with en suite too. There was a back door to the car parking area, which was a nice touch to load/unload your cases. The bar was nice with seating areas for food in the evening, just like a restaurant. The food was exceptional in the evening and at breakfast. The service was too. Staff were very friendly and courteous. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it."

"The pictures on the site do not represent the reality of this hotel. It’s currently very run down and in need of lots of work. We stayed for 3 nights, we only had 3 towels and although we asked for more twice, were not given any and they weren’t changed during our stay. The bathroom looked new but unfinished. There was nowhere to put shampoo etc. in the shower, the floor was slippy (I bought a rubber mat for them) the toilet flush was dodgy and neither the fan or light above the mirror worked....

"Travelled with 2 puppies was worried about how things would be. Didn’t need to be worried as dog friendly rooms available & staff very accommodating. Meals served all day & a good variety to choose from. Have booked for close family to stay later in the year."

"The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds"
