"I love the River Inn on Harbor Island. It reminds me of an older stately hotel like the Omni Grove Park Inn and the Martha Washington Inn. However, it is quite dark and the toilets are short (as in 14-15 inches high. So please take this into consideration. The restaurants here and around the hotel are terrific. "The hotel is not well maintained. We stayed on the 6th floor. As we got off the elevator there was a water leak coming from the fire alarm in the ceiling. A full bucket of water directly in front of the elevators. The room had sticky floors and the bathroom door had not been cleaned. When you closed the pocket door there were disgusting stains. "Stayed with my family. Only thing I noticed was a must probably from the ac unit in the room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beyond our expectations and the valet and secured parking gave us great peace of mind while staying down town. Trolly wasn't running because of utility work but down town was very walkable and impressively clean."
