I stayed at Fenix Hotel Hollywood and unfortunately had a very disappointing and upsetting experience. My belongings were stolen from my car while it was parked in their gated garage, which requires a code for entry. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the added sense of security with a gated parking area. However, it’s clear that this does not guarantee safety. Either the access is not properly controlled, or there is a lack of monitoring. I did file a police report, but the situation left me feeling uneasy and unsupported. I strongly recommend that future guests do not leave anything in their vehicles, even in the garage, and that the hotel take better measures to ensure guest safety. Very disappointing experience overall.

I do love this place, i think this is my 4th stay? Communication is great and any questions very quickly answered. I would however *beg* for blackout blinds on the windows - we don’t all want to be awake at dawn! And a full length mirror would be a huge win, though I have literally made friends with other women using the huge one in the hallway downstairs…..

This is a terrible place, completely misrepresented on Expedia. The problems were so many and severe that we did not stay there after going to our room. We worked with Expedia to have the money the hotel had already charged refunded.

Great location, 3/4 mins walk (1 block) from Hollywood Boulevard, room was clean, easy to use the keypad entry systems and non-contact check in - would highly recommend - we even used the in-room laundry.

The room was clean but the cat urine smell wouldn’t go away. I could smell a very strong Mr Clean odour that I assume, was used in large quantities trying to overpower the cat (or dog) urine smell. I left the window wide open for 5-6+ hours when I checked-in but smell never went away. I had to close it to be able to sleep since it’s on a busy street. I asked to be moved to another room. The request was accepted but there was no other room available on my 1st night and I had to suffer through the night dealing with the strong smell. Then in the morning the cleaning staff advised me the room wouldn’t be ready before 4-5pm. So I went away for my 2nd day (and last) of a short 2 day vacation. When I came back, it was after 7-8pm and I was tired so I opened the window again, and fell asleep in the same room for a nap. I figured: what’s the point of moving all my stuff for this one last night… And nobody followed up with me to give me instructions on how to proceed with the move. (It’s a staffless establishment) so I was disappointed and just dealt with it. The location is great, very close to walk of fame and other attractions and restaurants. Price was fair. I didn’t even know there was a pool, I would have probably tried it.

The property had a feeling of an apartment vibe. It was interesting how many different codes you needed to get to your room. That would probably be the only downside. Communication was super fast and friendly. GREAT location and even better that it was dog friendly. The room was super spacious and had everything we needed - minus a wine opener :)

This place is a bit odd. As far as I can tell it's a small apartment complex that has some rooms rented out as hotel rooms. It wouldn't be bad place to have an extended stay at because there is a small washer and dryer in each room and a kitchenette. Big downside to this place, it's very noisy. So noisy they provide ear plugs in the room and I used them. The street is right there and there are lots of noisy cars and motorcycles driving by at all hours of the night. It is nice and clean though. The bed was surprisingly comfortable too and the linens were nice. The parking situation is also a bit odd. You have to call them ahead is time to reserve one of the few spaces they have available for the hotel guests. It is only $25 a night and it's gated and well lit. You access the garage through a not very obvious gate located on West side of the building. You have to jump out of your car and type the code they give you into the keypad. Luckily this side street isn't too busy, but it is narrow. Everything is contact free so pay attention to the email and texts they send you ahead of time. You'll need the elevator code to get up to your room level, plus the front door code if you go out on foot. There is no front desk.

Die Unterkunft ist modern und neu eingerichtet. Allerdings sind auf dem Fußboden überall Farbspritzer von den Malerarbeiten und es war nicht sauber. Außerdem wurden neue und ungewaschene Handtücher bereitgestellt, welche einen unangenehmen neuen Geruch hatten und extrem fusselten. Das schlimmste war jedoch die nächtliche Lautstärke der angrenzenden Hauptstraße. Schlafen war dadurch nicht möglich. Weiterhin roch es drinnen und draußen stark nach Marihuana. Leider waren die kostenpflichtigen Parkplätze der Unterkunft alle besetzt, sodass wir zwei Blocks weiter in einem Parkhaus parken mussten, sodass ein Fußweg von 15 Minuten notwendig war. Aus den genannten Gründen wandten wir uns an Expedia und uns wurde sehr gut weitergeholfen. Wir zogen in eine andere Unterkunft und bekamen die ungenutzten Nächte erstattet.

Communication with virtual front desk was frustrating. There was a significant delay in getting information. The option to check in early was confusing and didn’t work at all. The pictures of the outside areas didn’t match the actual space in the least. They charge for parking, which is not mentioned at all when you book. However, The room was nice and very clean and centrally located to the Hollywood walk of fame. But the virtual check in was not the best.

room is spacious, having a sink and full size fridge is awesome. However no parking means I have to park at the mall which is 10 min walk is very inconvenient. We have to plan to go out early and come out late instead of come and go as much as we like.
