"Check in was a complete NIGHTMARE! Even though I paid for the “Rock Royalty” upgrade, our room was not ready (even though we arrived after 3pm), staff tried to upsell me on a rooftop suite, and when I declined the upgrade I was told to return in an hour and wait in line AGAIN! Imagine my pleasure upon arriving in our room to find no hot water and a clogged shower drain that flooded the room. Between the ridiculously long check in and waiting for maintenance to fix our shower clog and flooded room, we lost several hours of “vacation” time.
The room was spacious and offered double sinks, an espresso maker, mini fridge, robes and slippers. Although there is no shower glass or curtain, so it’s a wet mess everywhere every day and a slipping hazard in the bathroom.
The upside is the staff is very kind (shout out to Dustin, Karen, and Andy!) and they really work hard.
The property is very loud with multiple speakers playing different music at the same time. You have to get up at 6am to find a pool chair if you want any chance of having a seat. Even when I did that, some teens stole our seats and towels. Horrible breakfast buffet. However, our dinners at Zen and Ciao were good.
Overall, I don’t think we will return. Although, I did appreciate having meals and drinks included since Cabo has become increasingly more expensive. "
