"The hotel was beautiful, rooms lovely and clean! The swimming pool and spa facilities, steam room were very good and very relaxing! The food at the FYR restaurant on site was lovely and reasonably priced aswell. The only cons I would say is that the drinks at the bar and and the pool are very expensive, considering the amount you are spending on everything else, in my opinion they don’t need to be that expensive. Overall had a very relaxing weekend, and I would return."

"This is a lovely hotel, well located for stunning views of the landscape. Our room was well decorated, and had a lovely bathroom with a walk in shower. The walls were pretty thin, we could hear people in the neighbouring rooms around us. The bed was really comfortable, excellent Wi-fi and a smart TV on the wall was perfect. We had an evening meal which was served in a cozy room with an open fire, I can still taste the lovely Borders Beef. Breakfast was similarly great, and meant that overall we had a great stay. "

"It’s the perfect stay to stop just off the M6 when driving from Scotland to England. It’s a beautifully decorated pub, with lovely staff and excellent breakfast and dinner. This time our ferry was cancelled from Mull and so we had to change the booking at the last moment. They were understanding and there was no problem rolling over the booking until we could get off the island. We will be forever loyal to this wonderful stop just south of Penrith. "

"we only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay checkin was easy and relaxed, all the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. we had a meal in the bar area at night and breakfast in the morning both really good. our room looked to have just been refurbished and had all we needed if we are in the the area we would stay again. thanks. "Clean and spacious room, sitting by the fire in the bar is lovely. Breakfast was delicious, however the room was freezing, the amazing staff member serving breakfast did turn on the heating but it didn't help much. "

"This guest house is a gem! Our family enjoyed staying here on our way home from the Scottish Highlands. It was immaculate and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant! We hope to return."

"Lovely hotel / inn with huge stylish bedrooms and fantastic bar with open fire. Food (fresh pizza) was amazing - some really interesting flavours. Breakfast fresh and very hearty. Highly recommended! Can’t remember the last time I went to a hotel this good."
